Some markets are selling fresh non-produce products. Here is what’s available:

Neil Drake at Grayson & Emma's Garden Spot in Courtland has country ham, some free-range eggs, organic Amish oatmeal and organic cranberry and almond granola, old-fashioned hoop and Cabot cheese and ginger snaps.

Grayson & Emma's also sells a full line of cooked foods such as chicken & dumplins', chicken & rice, chicken soup similar to Brunswick stew but not as thick, cooked cabbage, Navy beans, black eyed peas, tomato pudding, corn pudding, bread pudding, corn, butterbeans and snaps. The market also has a line of gluten-free baking products for people who are allergic or sensitive to gluten.

Clifton Slade of Slade's Poultry Farm in Surry sells fresh, free-range eggs and chickens.

Howard Piland of B&H Produce has homemade baked apple butter, sweet potato butter, homemade relishes, plenty of free-range eggs, jams and honey from Rocky Branch Farm in Jetersville, Va., and is accepting checks and, of course, cash.
